Long time coming....

By long time coming....I mean the carport...not the blog post. :) We apologize for slacking a little on the postings, it's been nothing but busy around here lately. I'll let Em show you all that Jonas has been up to, but I thought I would make a quick post about the work that Shawn and I did last weekend on the carport. I've neglected the poor carport for many years, but finally decided it was time to stop procrastinating. Because there were several places where the roof had rotted all the way through, I thought there was no way we could save any it and I didn't think it was worth rebuilding (considering we don't use it as a carport). However, after we dug into the project it turned out we could save most of the framing, so we decided to keep it. Now we are just waiting for the roofer to call me back so he can finish the project. Before.... Before... 3 layers....one asphalt, and two roll-on (that's not what it's called, but it's past midnight...give me a break) lol Old decking....lots of holes (sorry poor carport) Is wood supposed to be black? ooopppss Extra special thanks to Shawn for doing most of the work. I was just his lackey...without him our house wouldn't be what it is today. I also want to thank Michelle and Em for entertaining the boys all day so Shawn and I could actually get some work done!

Friday Fun

Momma Gets A Star

Thanks Momma for doing such a good job keeping the blog updated. Your videos have been the best. I love and miss you guys and can't wait to get home tomorrow.

Two videos

Ok...so I got some cute video of Jonas tonight. The movies are anything fancy, but I thought you all might enjoy them. This one could have been called persistence. He played with these shoes for at least 15 minutes before finally giving up. Enjoy! P.S. Good news...Momma is coming home tomorrow (a day earlier than planned). YEAH, we missed you Momma!!!

Jonas and I had fun playing tonight after dinner. He wasn't quite as talkative as he was last night, but we had a great time cheesing out and laughing. I know ladies....I'm hard to resist!

As you know, Emily is out of town for work this week. That means Jonas and I are flying solo again, but I think we have a pretty good handle on things this time. Tonight we talked to Momma twice, Grammie, and Aunt Carol. But when we weren't talking on the phone.....he was blowing kisses to Momma. Opps...I forgot you can't turn the camera when shooting video. Sorry about the kink in your neck! :)

Hanging Out

We had a very relaxing day today getting in some quality family time before I leave town tomorrow. We got our Halloween decoration up and Jonas took a liking to this wig that could show up on future dates.

Halloween Prep

I'm ready to ride the candy train. What, I'm a pirate in training and yes my shirt is really dirty...do you have a problem with that. Do I have small feet or are all pj's this big? What are those things on my feet...are those pumpkins....MOM!

Catch Up

I know it's been a while but since going to Omaha I've been avoiding the computer for some reason. I'll get everyone updated up to today and the rest of this week but here's the warning for next week that I have to travel to Iowa so we may have another hiatus. Jonas is busy growing and learning so much every day. My favorite new thing is his sign language for the word more...it's awesome and lets not forget that he can now point out his facial features (don't ask us to show you though because he only performs when treats are available...Amy do you have any more Scooby snacks he keeps asking for those;) Hi my adoring fans...I'm back! I love Poet's fur, it makes the best pillow and she lets me lay on her because she's one of my best friends.

Thanks Niki for watching me last weekend while my moms celebrated their anniversary, I had so much fun.
