Eagle Day 2012

We couldn't wait for Eagle Day to get here and unfortunately the rain couldn't either. Luckily it was only a fine mist and we didn't let it stop us.

 I tried to tell Jonas that the grass needed to be a little greener before we mowed but he was determined.

If it was up to Jonas we would go to the zoo everyday if we could. I love going as well and never grow tired of it. Stella is always game to take a spin around the monkey cages.

Finally The Snow Has Arrived

There wasn't a lot of it but the snow did come after many wishes. Our snow gear is the one extra thing I've known where it was at since the move. We've been hoping for it and even though it didn't cover the grass we made the most of it.

Where Has My Baby Gone

It seems like yesterday that Amy was taking Jonas to the park and having him swing in the baby swing and now he is pushing Stella and having fun. I love seeing the little boy he is turning into, I couldn't be any prouder.

 I wonder how many more years he will let me take his picture on this whale?

Martin Luther King Day

Michelle invited us to Topeka for MLKD this year to enjoy the festivities at the Discovery Center and spend some time playing at the zoo. I know the kids had fun and it was nice to spend some quality time with with Michelle and the boys.

Our Newest Addition

From the moment we got the new house Jonas' favorite thing about it has been the puppy he was going to get. We did end up with a puppy...kinda. Hank is 10 months old and very full of energy. His mother was Jeff's dog Riley who we miss dearly so it's nice to have a little of her spirit so close to us. Jonas fell in love at first sight and he'll be the first to tell you that they are best buddies.

 When is he going to get here...I have this cool new toy for him.

 And the bond starts here.

 This may have been the only time Jonas held his leash but it doesn't matter, they are usually pretty close to each other no matter what.
