Christmas

We had such a good day Christmas even though the snow changed our plans last minute. Chris and Amy were gracious hosts to our wonderful day. Jonas wasn't as excited as we had hoped about opening gifts and had a better time playing with his Santa gift and the first toy he opened than anything else. I'm sure that didn't have anything to do with our 5:30 start time either. Tracy was so excited she was up at 5 waiting for Jonas and I to join her, I loved her enthusiasm. I have to say I'm sorry for anyone who had to miss their families Christmas but I especially loved the snow. Niki and I tried to relive our youth and show everyone how to set sledding records but we came up a little short...no comments from the cheap seats people! Don't worry Niki we bought a sled today that will make us champions again so let me know when you want to come up. Kiley, Amy, and I stayed out longer than anyone else building a master fort but after lunch we never went outside to let all of our hard work pay off but I'm sure they were out there today playing again. It's hard to image that Christmas has already come and gone this year but I enjoyed it just the same. For everyone we didn't get to see or talk to on Christmas I hope your festivities were all that you hoped for. Merry Christmas from Jonas, Emily and Tracy The cool tricycle Santa left for Christmas morning. My Christmas gift today, tomorrow and always! Need more coffee...I can't believe Tracy was up before me but I loved her spirit.

Christmas Eve

The weather didn't stop a few of us from getting together on Christmas Eve to party it up (old people style). By 6:00 everyone was gone and we baked some cookies for Santa, laid out reindeer food, and cleaned up the house. Here are the highlights of the evening. Mommy's Little Helper

Now that Jonas is feeling better, he has been quite the little helper around the house. Some of his favorite times are spent helping Mommy in the kitchen. Maybe he will become the next Top Chef! Oh, and his favorite word while in the kitchen....shouting OTT....OTT...which translates into HOT! Waiting patiently for his task of adding the cereal. Be sure to complement the chef on the chex mix this Christmas. A good sous chef always cleans up after the head chef.

When I'm not in the kitchen, I like to pamper mommy by bringing her slippers to her.

But, when I'm really ready for a hard days work....it has to be the boots!

What a weekend...

I know it's been a while since I (Tracy) have made a post, so now that school is out and I don't have quite as much going on I thought I would try and pull my own weight and make a posting. Besides, poor Em is in bed sick. This has been quite the weekend, I won't let you in on all the yucky details, but it started out with Jonas getting sick. Little guy must have some sort of stomach bug. Crazy thing is, he doesn't have a temp or anything else. Well I guess he decided to share with Emily cause tonight, she is not feeling good. Hopefully, this only lasts a day or two and they don't pass it along to me. We were able to get a ton of cleaning done around the house though, so that was nice. My dear old friend Dan was supposed to stay with us tonight, but after Emily started feeling bad, he decided to spend the night with his sister instead. We did get a few hours to chat and play with Jonas so not all was lost. Well enough about our crazy weekend, here are some photos from the past few days. Ya see......it tastes much better if you turn your whole face blue! Band practice in the kitchen while Mommy (Emily) cleans out the cupboards. Total GQ pose!
