Play Date With Mom

I have to work Saturday so Jonas and I asked Amy's permission for him to stay home today and thankfully she said yes since we really wanted to extend our long weekend. We did a little shopping, a little playing but very little napping so Amy might regret her choice tomorrow. Gosh mom don't you have enough pictures of me hanging in a swing? Now that I got up here how do I get down...lets think about this. I would have taken a few more pictures but unfortunately he did a face plant off the end of the slide so it essentially looked like I smacked him around a little so none of those photos made the cut. He was OK just a little scarred with some road rash.

Here are some pictures from Thur. Usually the girls are pulling Jonas all around the yard but turn about is fair play. I don't know how they do it because it isn't easy pulling just him without the snow.

Renaissance Festival

Hi everyone, I'm back. Norma and Ali came down this weekend and we had the best time hanging out with them. Allison and Abigail joined us first thing Saturday morning for the Renaissance Festival and it was a blast touring the place as you'll see in our photos. That night I was talked into trying Indian food and it was yummy delish. Jonas and I shared a Mango drink and he was gracious enough to let me have two drinks before he demanded the rest for himself...that was his favorite part for sure. Thanks guys for taking us. Norma rocking the princess hat! Allison ruling the castle.

Finally....Momma's Home!

Jonas and I were both happy to have momma back home with us. When Emily got home, we went out for Mexican tonight and Jonas couldn't get enough chips and salsa. I'll have to upload the pictures off my phone another time, it was rather humorous watching him dip the chips. Later this evening Norma and Ali arrived (with Taco Shop....aren't they the best?), and then Michelle stopped by after getting back from her trip to Arkansas to drop off a few things and pick up the karaoke machine. Who's bringing the beer to her house? :) Em and Jonas were oblivious to all the visitors though....they fell asleep at 9:00, but I'm sure Jonas will have fun playing with Norm and Ali tomorrow. Since Em's nice and doesn't post snoring sleep pictures of me, I'll show her the same respect. :) I picked up some "gears" for Jonas the last time I was at Once Upon a Child and we broke them our for the first time tonight. Jonas seems to love them....that is when Emily will allow him to play. You can tell from the photos that there were many expressions during the play period. It's past 1:00 am and I'm too tired to come up with captions for them all, so you have to make up your own this time. Enjoy!

New skill...

Yesterday after we finished washing up during bath time Jonas finally figured out how to open the drain plug on the bathtub. Tonight he seemed to remember his new found wisdom because he started draining the tub during the bath this time. Other new bath skills he's picked up include blowing bubbles in the water (only occasionally coughing from swallowing a mouthful) and licking the soap bubbles off his arms after I wash him....followed by making farting noises by blowing on his arm. I'm so proud of him. :) Tomorrow will be a happy day because we get our momma back! :)

We Survived Our First Day....

Jonas and I survived our first day without our mama. I was a little worried that the morning time might be a bit of an issue, but our little angle slept in until I was done with my shower and dressed. In fact, we got ready so easily we were ahead of schedule...even after talking with mama on the phone. So, we decided to stop in for donuts before heading to Amy's. This photo is begging for a great caption, but I just can't seem to come up with one. :( Jonas enjoying his donut. Jonas' lips must have been numb tonight. He made car sounds the entire time I was making dinner and then for 30 minutes afterwards. Too cute!

Adventures In The Car

Well everyone I'm heading to Montana for the rest of the week so it's up to Tracy to do some posts but don't be upset with her if they are few and far between. I'm sure she will have her hands full with Jonas, dinner and homework while I'm gone. Alright, I found a teddy head. Hmm, I wonder how old it is!

Cracker Barrel

We had a great time at cracker barrel for lunch today. Art and Aggie changed their schedules so that they could meet us and it was nice taking some time to hang out before Toni and Ron had to get back to Hays. Faster Grammie! Let's be silly ;)
