Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical

Allison, Abigail, Amy, Kiley, Rory, Jonathan, Connor, Jonas and I went to the arboretum today and had fun soaking up the sunshine. I don't know if I would recommend it though because we were attacked by a 5 no I mean 10 foot snake.

I moved a rock even though the sign said not to...hahaha!

How can I look at the camera when there are fish to watch. He also wanted to bet me $5 that one of the boys would fall into the water but I would have won that one thank goodness since Tracy just cleaned the truck out. He was all happy until I told him he couldn't get in the water.

Isn't it to early for these things??? I think Jonas got whiplash in the stroller when Kiley spotted it and we were on the path right beside it. Allison was worried for her an Abigail's lives when she heard us OK me yell snake and the stroller kick into overdrive.

Party Day

We had our friends over today to celebrate birthdays that we may not otherwise get a chance to celebrate and it was a blast. Getting ready for the party. Chilling in the yard.

Saturday Fun

We had a very relaxing Saturday and got out to enjoy the weather. We ran some errands to start the day but ended up back home where Tracy cleaned out her truck while Jonas and I entertained ourselves and supervised at the same time. Thanks to Lucy, Jonas has a new favorite spot to play while we are working in the kitchen. I'm playing here...do you mind!

Updates

I wanted to pass on a few updates from this week. The most exciting news is that Jonas finally said momma tonight. I know you're thinking he was just making sounds but let me tell you he was reaching for my hand when he said it. I made fresh apple and pear juice last night and he loved it from the first sip. I wished the juicer was a little easier to clean because I could drink that everyday. Tonight we tried cauliflower for the first time and he didn't even make a funny face, that's my son, he knows good things when he tastes them. Amy, we should be scared, I went to clean off the table after dinner and when I came back into the living room a few minutes later this is how I found him. We are moving the crib down this weekend. I have the ball, I see the hoop but what a minute what is that red thing?

I told Jonas I could make more baskets than him and all I heard was Bull----cough!

How hard can this be I tower above the basket.

Rainy Day Fun

What a beautiful day...

Thankfully I'm feeling human again and the three of us had a chance to go enjoy some of the nice spring-like weather today. Jonas and I took Momma E out for a birthday lunch at Blue Koi (yummy...yummy...yummy). Jonas was stuffed after lunch so he took a quick nap while momma and I drove around North Kansas City looking at houses (don't worry, we're not moving yet). When Jonas woke up he demanded a bottle right away, so we stopped off at the local park to watch all the people enjoying the weather. We squeezed in a quick photo shoot before having dinner at Manny's with some of Emily's co-workers. Eating apple cinnamon puffs using chop sticks. Blue eyes at the Blue Koi for Momma E's birthday lunch. Hanging out at the park.

I Love The Park

Amy invited Jonas and I to the library for story time this morning and then we went to the Basehor park for lunch and some fun. Marcie, Tyler, and Grandma Debbie (I'm pretty sure this is your title by every little kid now) met us there and good times were had by all. What are you looking at, at least the sun isn't in my eyes. Come on, I'm cuter than the whale and you know it!
