Leaves Galore

It's that time of year where the front yard fills up and we have to haul the leaves out of the yard. We worked as a family and got the job done in record time...Stella said it was because she was the boss and kept us moving. I know it's a lot of work but I always have fun playing in the piles.

It Was A BIG Pumpkin Patch

We made the pumpkin patch an all day affair again this year. We went to our favorite patch just outside of Lawrence and then stopped at an organic market/pumpkin patch on the way home. We had a pleasant surprise when my nephew and his family showed up just before we were ready to head out to select our pumpkins. Jonas idolizes Billy so it couldn't have been a better day for him and Stella had fun getting her feet dirty for the first time.

What I didn't post was the pictures of me on my ice pack the next day...but boy did we have fun at the time.

Jonas

Jonas and I have been having fun playing around lately. Stella really only sleeps well after a car ride so we take advantage of our time and pack in the fun.

 He had a little help up and as you can see has a death grip on the branch.

 I'm not scarred..he he now get me down.

Wichita Vacation

We took a little vacation to Wichita a few weeks ago and had so much fun relaxing and enjoying ourselves. Uncle Jeff surprised us and was able to meet us down there and join in on the festivities and have a little bonding time with Jonas. This in turn gave his momma's some free time because he pretty much disappeared once Jeff got there. They went swimming and stayed in the "man room" all weekend when we weren't visiting the sights. Our friend Sue met us as the zoo and hung out for the day and had the chance to experience the kid side of things. On the way home we had the opportunity to have dinner with Uncle Jared and his girlfriend. We loved having an extra day with Momma and getting some good family time in.

 These sheep went CRAZY when they saw someone ready to get them food. Jonas got to put the money in but they were trying to eat out of the machine before we could even get the food out and they tried to surround and concur  once we got it out. Jonas was a little intimidated to say the least.

 Sue and I...so glad we had a chance to talk.
