The Duck Race

We had a great time at the duck race in Topeka last weekend. I hadn't ever been and next year we will definitely go earlier to enjoy all the activities they have for free. We cheered our 5 ducks on but we weren't the winner of the mustang and neither was Deb but we did get some great memories in return and that's the best thing in the world.

That's an awful lot of ducks and unfortunately ours wasn't a fast swimmer.

Renaissance Festival

I was amazed that Tracy actually suggested that we go to the Ren Fest this year. We went opening weekend and had so much fun playing. Jonas loved the pirate shows the best but overall he did excellent watching several of them. I love that little guy and how much he surprises me with his smart fun loving character.

Fishing Day

Jonas and I asked Stella if she wanted to go fishing with us but she said that she would have more fun sharpening her teeth on her new shoes. We had a good time without her and momma although we missed them dearly. We didn't catch that many but we helped raise the lake by about a foot with the amount of rocks we threw in.

Having Some Water Fun

We had fun at the Legends the other day and of course we ended up at the fountain and it would have been a shame if Jonas didn't get a little wet. There was another little boy watching Jonas like a hawk and mimicking everything he did and at first I don't think his parents were to impressed but in the end they let him have fun with it as well.

Apple Picking

We had an amazing time last weekend picking apples. It was a perfect day and my only regret is that it went by way to fast. We had fun picking and trying to dodge the worm so to speak. I do feel bad for Niki and Debbie because they had Jonas dump his pail into theirs and there was no telling what they got but they were good sports and didn't mind. I've already made some apple sauce for Stella when she is ready for fruit and we are dehydrating some apple chips this weekend. I absolutely love this time of year.

Connor's Birthday

We helped celebrate Connor's birthday last weekend and we must love him because it was extremely hot out and we were sitting for an hour watching him play. It was his first soccer game of the year and he did awesome.
