The Lazy Days of Summer

This weekend we had some family relaxation time and got caught up on some much needed rest. On Saturday we hung out around the house during the day and then headed for Topeka to have dinner with Michelle, Shawn, and the boys. We had a good time sitting around and catching up on what's been going on this summer. Jonathan showed me his bicycle skills while we were in the backyard and he only hit the BBQ grill once while I was there. He made up for his accident by riding in the grass uphill at a pretty good pace. Jonas had a good time and said he is ready to go back any time. On Sunday we had family chill time. Tracy has been working so hard around here and everywhere we go since my back is so bad and she deserved some R&R. We did make it to Target that day to have our exercise time away from the sweltering heat. We went to the doctor today and finally found out that they are going to do a steroid shot for my back this week so hopefully I'll have a day in the near future pain free..yeah! It couldn't have come soon enough as Tracy's back is starting to hurt her quite a bit also. We are falling apart around here except for our little man who is doing amazing. He is getting very advanced in the tongue game and today we were mimicking noises so I expect he should be talking by the end of the month but I won't hold my breath...just a prediction. Jonas hanging out, he wanted to be completely naked but the fountain can appear at any time and we were to scared. It's hard to say no but we compromised with a diaper and a blanket. Tuckered out little boy after a day of activities.
